Sharjah, September 1 (WAM) - The Economic Development Department of Sharjah, in cooperation with the Shams Artificial Intelligence Club affiliated to the Sharjah Media City "Shams", today organized a specialized workshop entitled "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media" as part of the department's ongoing efforts to develop the skills of its staff and keep pace with rapid developments in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, which contributes to enhancing performance efficiency and raising the quality of outputs.

The workshop covered a number of topics related to the applications of artificial intelligence in digital media, including an introduction to the concepts of artificial intelligence and its development, language models, applications of artificial intelligence in content creation, media, and digital marketing, as well as command engineering, image and video production, and the ethics of using artificial intelligence. It also explored the skills required to keep up with the future of work, allowing participants to employ these technologies more efficiently and effectively in their daily work.

The workshop focused on raising awareness of the capabilities provided by artificial intelligence technologies and introducing best practices for benefiting from them in the workplace, while emphasizing the importance of responsible and effective use of these technologies to add value to institutional work and maintain the quality and credibility of content.

Abdulaziz Omar al-Madfa, Director of Government Communication Administration at the Department, explained that organizing this workshop is part of the department’s efforts to invest in human capital and enhance its staff’s readiness to deal with rapid technological changes in line with the Sharjah government’s focus on promoting artificial intelligence employment and supporting innovation and digital transformation across various sectors. He emphasized the importance of quality partnerships in exchanging knowledge, expertise, and providing learning and development opportunities for department employees, which will strengthen an innovative work environment capable of leveraging modern technologies to enhance services and improve institutional performance.
