Fairphone officially confirmed the unveiling of the Fairphone 6+, after a rumor yesterday indicated that the company is preparing to announce it on August 18.

The company has set the launch time for 13:00 Central European Time, which is 12:00 noon in London and 14:00 in Eastern Europe.

According to recent leaks, the Fairphone 6+ will receive several upgrades compared to the Fairphone 6 that the company launched last year, most notably the transition to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor instead of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, along with an increase in random access memory capacity from 8GB to 12GB.

The phone will also come in a new color called cobalt blue, while it is expected that the rest of the specifications and design will remain the same as the Fairphone 6.

However, these details will remain within the realm of leaks until the company officially unveils the phone on August 18.

As for the price, expectations indicate that the Fairphone 6+ will be launched for €649, which is an increase of €50 from the price of the Fairphone 6 at launch and €100 more than its current price.
