Google has unveiled the first official teaser for the Pixel 11 series, weeks before the Made by Google event scheduled for August 12 in New York City. The announcement confirms the name of the phone officially and offers the first preview of a new feature called Pixel Glow, aiming to build excitement ahead of the full reveal of the company’s new generation of phones.

Pixel Glow: A New Lighting Feature for Google Phones

The promotional video shows the Pixel 11 in gold, with a familiar design for the Pixel series but with an added new lighting element integrated into the back near the camera bar. The Pixel Glow feature displays multiple colors, although Google has not yet revealed its uses or customization potential, leaving room for more details to be unveiled during the launch conference.

Google also confirmed that pre-orders for the Pixel 11 series will open on August 12 immediately after the launch event. It announced a promotional offer for users in the United States, allowing registered Google Store customers to receive a discount code via email that can be used when purchasing Pixel 11 phones or certain eligible devices during a specified period.

During the event, the company is expected to unveil a full range of phones, including Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, along with the new generation of Pixel Watch 5 watches. Official invitations also indicate Google's focus on artificial intelligence technologies under the Gemini Intelligence slogan, meaning that the event will feature the announcement of new AI-powered features.

According to leaks, the Pixel 11 series will come with powerful specifications including OLED screens, the Tensor G6 processor built using a 2nm manufacturing technology, and the MediaTek M90 modem, in addition to the Titan M3 security chip, along with camera improvements and increased basic storage capacity. Google is continuing to compete against the leading phones on the market.
