Dubai, September 9 (WAM) - The General Command of Dubai Police and Dubai Digital have launched the AI-assisted system for shift management to enhance the efficiency of workforce management and operational processes. The system will be made available to government entities in Dubai, expanding the use of artificial intelligence technologies in government work.

The system, registered with an intellectual property classification under the General Command of Dubai Police, enables the analysis of operational needs and aligns them with skills and specializations, suggesting the optimal distribution of human resources according to approved guidelines. This contributes to enhancing readiness and supporting decision-making based on data.

The launch of the system was witnessed by Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs at Dubai Police, and Mطر سعيد الحميري, CEO of the Dubai Government Digital Authority, in the presence of a number of senior officers and officials from both sides.

Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad emphasized that Dubai Police views artificial intelligence as a strategic enabler for developing work and improving the efficiency of human resource utilization. It also enhances leadership's ability to make faster and more accurate decisions based on data.

He stated that the AI-assisted system for shift management, developed in partnership with Dubai Digital, embodies this approach by transitioning shift management from traditional procedures to an intelligent system capable of analyzing operational needs and aligning them with skills and specializations. It also suggests the optimal distribution of resources according to approved guidelines.

He added that the system’s importance lies in its integration with the work system and linking planning, implementation, and follow-up, which provides a more comprehensive view of labor distribution, coverage levels, and readiness, and contributes to proactively responding to operational variables.

His Excellency Matar Saeed Al Hamiri said that launching the system represents a practical model for the new phase of government digital transformation, in which artificial intelligence moves from being a tool that supports task performance to an integrated capability that helps redesign processes, understand needs, analyze data, anticipate variables, and transform them into plans and executable decisions.

He added that the system will be made available to government entities in Dubai, enhancing the use of these technologies on a wider governmental scale, and supporting Dubai’s move towards a more proactive government that utilizes its resources more efficiently.

The system is provided through the Smart Employee application, which allows departments and employees to manage and follow shifts, and provides a unified dashboard that enables leaders to view in real-time the presence of the workforce, distribution of staff, and coverage levels at work sites, along with indicators that support monitoring the efficiency of labor distribution.

The system is part of the Government Resources Systems (GRP) developed and managed by Dubai Digital, which serves more than 80 government entities, and provides an integrated system for managing government resources and operations.
