Khaimah, August 13 (WAM) - The General Command of Police in Khoumami organised a youth event entitled "Does the adoption of artificial intelligence enhance efficiency in security work or increase information security risks?" on the occasion of International Youth Day 2026. This was held at the Decision Centre in the General Command building.

Brigadier جمال أحمد الطير, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Police in Khoumami, emphasised during the event that organising this event, which was a debate, came from the General Command's desire to empower young people and provide them with an opportunity to present their ideas and discuss future issues related to the development of police and security work. He pointed out the importance of achieving a balance between taking advantage of the great potential provided by artificial intelligence and ensuring the safe and responsible use of these technologies, as well as protecting information security.

Brigadier-General Dr. Abdullah bin Salman Al Nahyan, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Team, Director of Operations at the Khoumami Police, emphasised during the workshop he presented within the youth debate that adopting artificial intelligence is in line with the United Arab Emirates' efforts to establish its global leadership position in this field and achieve the objectives of its national artificial intelligence strategy.
