Beelink has launched a new configuration for the ME Pro NAS device, which is more price-effective compared to previous versions. The device comes equipped with a board containing an Intel Pentium Silver J5005 processor, a low-power quad-core processor from the Gemini Lake series.

This Pentium processor can be integrated with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. As for storage, the economical NAS device can accommodate 4 drives, including two M.2 slots, each supporting an SSD drive with a capacity of up to 4TB. The other two drives can be installed in SATA slots and each can hold a drive with a capacity of up to 30TB, making the total supported storage capacity reach 68TB.

The dual-bay NAS device is part of the modular ecosystem standard applied by Beelink in its ME Pro lineup, which means that it can replace the mainboard. The company has so far released multiple options including AMD and Intel choices. Among other features for the NAS is its focus on being compact; as Beelink points out, the one-piece metal frame has allowed the system to be 50% smaller in size compared to traditional dual-bay HDD systems.

There’s also a good number of connectivity ports available. Specifically, this low-power device comes with the following port configuration: two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two 2.5G LAN ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio port and an HDMI port.

In terms of pricing, the barebone option for ME Pro with the Pentium Silver J5005 processor costs around $147. There’s also another option that comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space for OS which is priced at $221.
