Abu Dhabi, August 12 (WAM) - Students from the "Our International Ambassadors" program for 2026 participated in an academic and practical experience in Canada focused on exploring future technologies, artificial intelligence, sustainability, cybersecurity, and developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges in collaboration with the University of Toronto Metropolitan.

The program included specialized sessions covering technology's relationship with society, artificial intelligence, human identity, robotics, and the future of work, along with ethics and digital citizenship, enhancing students' understanding of the human and societal dimensions accompanying technological development.

Students participated in interactive workshops and engineering design projects within the university's laboratories and innovation and entrepreneurship centers to develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and idea implementation skills.

The mini hackathon for sustainable development goals was one of the highlights of the experience. Students worked in teams to study developmental challenges and innovate solutions, presenting and discussing their final projects. The "Cybersecurity Catalysts" workshop provided an opportunity to learn about data protection challenges and responsible technology use.

The experience also included exploring Toronto's cultural and urban diversity and visiting several scientific and historical landmarks.

Participation aligns with the goals of the "Our International Ambassadors" program, which aims to prepare students with global knowledge, awareness, future skills, and a sense of national identity who are open to international experiences. This supports their ability to contribute to development efforts and build a brighter future for the UAE.
