Data from the website Downdetector, which specializes in monitoring internet outages, showed that Spotify and Cloud experienced disruptions affecting thousands of users in the United States on Tuesday.

The site reported that more than 17,000 users in the United States had reported problems with Spotify by 10:12 a.m. Eastern Time, while more than 11,000 had reported issues with Cloud service.

Spotify said on X that it was aware of “some issues” and was investigating them, while Anthropic stated that it was looking into “increased error rates” across its Cloud services.

Neither Spotify nor Anthropic has yet responded to Reuters’ requests for comment.

The figures on Downdetector are based on reports sent by users. The actual number of affected users may vary.
