GeForce Now Finally Supports Firefox Browser! Appears on Tech News.

After a long wait, Nvidia has officially added Mozilla Firefox to the list of supported browsers on GeForce Now service, ending users’ reliance on Chromium-based browsers.

With this update, GeForce Now users can now run games through Firefox with up to 1440p resolution and a refresh rate of 120 frames per second.

Nvidia has classified Firefox as an unsupported browser on the cloud gaming service. Although it was possible to run the service on it in a limited way, users faced several problems that clearly affected their gaming experience.

One of the most prominent issues was a bug in Firefox causing the mouse movement to be unresponsive within streamed games, making some games unplayable.

Users also suffered from poor streaming quality and lack of certain codecs, which led them to rely on Chromium browsers for a better experience.

But Nvidia has put an end to these limitations by officially adding Firefox to the list of supported platforms. Now players can use the service through the browser with up to 1440p resolution and a refresh rate of 120 frames per second.

This support comes after months of cooperation between Nvidia and Mozilla, and it seems that Firefox has benefited from this partnership in other aspects as well, especially regarding hardware acceleration and video decoding, which have not always worked smoothly on the browser.
