Apple starts back-to-school offer with gift cards when buying Mac and iPad devices, appears on Tech News Today.

Apple has started to launch the back-to-school offer in a number of markets after recent price increases for some of its core devices including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, and iPad Pro.

The offer is available for a limited time until August 27th and targets students and employees at educational institutions. The offer provides gift cards when buying eligible MacBook or iPad devices while the MacBook Neo is not included.

The value of the gift cards was as follows:

• MacBook Pro: A $150 gift card in the United States, or its equivalent in other markets.
• MacBook Air: A $100 gift card.
• iPad Pro: A $100 gift card.
• iPad Air: A $100 gift card.

The offer is currently available in the United States, Canada, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Taiwan, with a potential launch in additional markets through Apple’s local websites.

In contrast, Apple offers a different deal in China, India, Mexico, Singapore, and Vietnam where buyers receive a free pack of four AirTags or a discount on some AirPods versions when buying an eligible MacBook or iPad device.

To take advantage of the offer, the buyer must be a student at a government or private higher education institution, a parent, or an employee of an educational institution. The eligibility requirements vary from country to country.
