Apple launches the first public beta version of iOS 27 on Unlimit Tech.

Apple has launched the first public beta version of iOS 27, after a period during which only developer versions were available. The company also provided the public beta versions of iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, macOS 27 and tvOS 27, with the final versions expected to be released this fall.

Users wishing to try out the system early can register in the Apple Beta Software Program and install the new version starting today.

Apple confirmed that it has not dropped support for any of its phones compatible with iOS 26, meaning all devices from iPhone 11 onwards, including iPhone SE (2020) and later versions, will be able to run iOS 27.

The system offers improvements in the new Liquid Glass design, along with performance enhancements. Apple confirms that app launch times are now 30% faster, image library loading is 70% faster, and file transfer speed via AirDrop has increased by 80%. The company also added improvements to switching between Wi-Fi and 5G networks for a smoother experience.

Siri AI is the most notable addition to the system. It can now understand natural language to answer questions, execute commands, and search within the phone, with an independent app provided to make it easier to access AI features.

However, Apple clarified that some AI features will remain limited within the European Union due to regulatory restrictions.

While many issues were addressed during the developer beta releases, the company warned that the public beta may still contain errors that could affect daily use. Therefore, it is recommended for only those who want to try out the new features before the official release to install it.

In contrast, Mac support did not experience the same continuity. Intel-based Mac computers running macOS 26 will not be able to upgrade to macOS 27, while support is limited to Apple Silicon devices.

Apple also stopped supporting several older iPad models, with updates now limited to iPad mini (2021) and later, iPad (2021) and later, iPad Air (2020) and later, and iPad Pro (2020) and later.
