Apple unveiled the “iPhone Duo,” the company’s first foldable iPhone, with two screens and a new design that iOS 27 automatically interacts with when the phone is opened, folded, or rotated. The phone opens to reveal a Super Retina XDR screen measuring 7.6 inches, 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max screen, providing more space for viewing content, using apps and games, and features like Siri and Apple Intelligence.

For the first time on iPhones, the phone supports the Apple Pencil USB-C stylus on both screens, starting later this year, for note-taking, drawing, and annotating documents. The phone has speakers at the top and bottom to provide spatial sound in both horizontal and vertical orientations, and is available in two colors: Star White and Night Sky.

Apple made the phone’s frame from fifth-generation titanium, reinforced with ceramic fibers that the company says are three times stronger than this type of titanium, along with a Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and a Ceramic Shield on the back. The phone also has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, while Apple designed the device and iOS 27 together so that the user interface automatically transitions between screens based on how the phone is opened, folded, or rotated.
