Apple didn't hide the crease. The iPhone Duo's foldable screen reveals a clear line despite Nano-Texture technology, as reported by TechRadar.

Since rumors began to circulate about Apple’s foldable phone, leaks and predictions have focused heavily on how well the company could conceal the crease that appears in the middle of the internal screen.

With the launch of Apple's first foldable phone, iPhone Duo, a clearer picture has emerged regarding the visibility of this crease in real-world use.

Videos showing the phone’s usage inside Apple Park clearly show the crease when looking at the screen from certain angles. Over time and with repeated folding and unfolding, the crease may become more noticeable due to increased exposure to bending cycles.

However, the crease almost disappears when looking directly at the screen from the front, making it difficult to notice with the naked eye. In fact, Apple seems to have achieved a slightly better result than Samsung with the Galaxy Z Fold8, which was released by the company a few weeks ago. Both phones use a titanium plate beneath the screen components to reduce pressure on the screen and help flatten the folding area.

Technically speaking, it is difficult to eliminate the crease completely because it results from a physical part of the screen that is repeatedly exposed to bending and unfolding processes.

But Apple has managed to significantly reduce its appearance, in part due to the adoption of a matte surface on the internal screen. This surface reflects less light and thus reduces the clarity of the crease. The company also added a scratch-resistant layer to protect the Nano-Texture surface.
