After 8 years, the iPhone X is added to Apple’s list of obsolete devices – Tech Without Borders.

Apple has finally added the iPhone X, which it launched on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, to its list of obsolete products after almost 9 years since its launch. The company also added the 15-inch MacBook Pro that was released in 2018 to the same list.

Once Apple adds one of its products to the list of obsolete devices, the device no longer qualifies for maintenance services and hardware repairs, and repair centers can no longer obtain the necessary spare parts.

Apple usually adds its products to the list of obsolete devices after more than 7 years from when they stop being sold. However, Mac devices may still be eligible for battery replacement service up to 10 years from the date of their last sale, provided that the required spare parts are available.

The iPhone X received its last software update with iOS 16.7.16, while the software support for the 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro ended with macOS 15.7.7.
