Tesla achieved positive results in the second quarter of 2026, after announcing the delivery of around 480,000 cars worldwide, an increase of 25% compared to the same period last year, marking the first annual growth in deliveries in two years. The results exceeded Wall Street analysts' expectations, reflecting a notable improvement in the company's performance after a period of decline.

Tesla's Best-Selling Models

The Model 3 and Model Y models accounted for the largest share of sales, with a total of around 468,000 cars. The number of cars delivered from other models such as Cybertruck and Model X was only about 12,000 cars. This indicates that Tesla continues to rely primarily on its most popular models, while Cybertruck still faces difficulties in achieving widespread adoption among consumers.

Analysts attribute this improvement to several factors, notably the rise in fuel prices over the past period, which has driven more consumers towards electric vehicles, especially in European markets. Germany reinforced this trend by launching a new support program that provides financial incentives for low-income families to help them purchase or lease electric cars. This comes alongside Tesla's expansion of its factory in Berlin to increase production capacity in the coming months.

Meanwhile, the company benefited from having a large stock of cars after increasing production during the first quarter of the year, which allowed it to meet growing demand quickly. Despite these positive results, the future pace of growth remains uncertain, especially with the possibility that fuel prices will stabilize and economic conditions may change. Tesla’s share price fell by about 7% following the announcement of second-quarter results, indicating that investors remain cautious about the company's performance in the coming period.
