MagicX revealed the name of its upcoming portable device along with a few details and confirmed that the new portable device will feature the custom OLED panel it announced earlier this month.

According to a post on its channel in the Discord app, the upcoming MagicX portable device will be called MagicX Mini Dream. Based on the wording of the post, this means that the device will arrive before the Mini40 and the unnamed portable device powered by MediaTek’s processor that was announced a few weeks ago.

The MagicX Mini Dream will have an OLED screen with a 3.3-inch size and a resolution of 1024x768. MagicX also revealed that the device will feature a fully glass front cover that matches the color of the frame, similar to the Retroid Pocket 6. Another detail provided is that the Mini Dream portable device will be available in two versions with Android or Linux operating systems and price ranges from $80 to $180.

While no other technical details were provided, MagicX said it would make some improvements to its production process. The post states that in the coming period, quality control will be more rigorous and there will be improvements in the reliability of the supply chain and components. It will also improve the quality of its device manufacturing as well as adjust the system and improve performance.

The MagicX Mini Dream is still in the early stages of development, but the company has promised to share more details when it reaches key milestones.
