With these tools, Google aims to enhance the use of Gemini as an intelligent learning assistant, competing with companies like OpenAI and educational technology startups.

Students can create interactive experiences and simulations to help them understand complex topics, along with receiving customized practice tests in areas including science, math, humanities, and foreign languages.

The new search tools also allow for specialized follow-up questions, where AI provides an interactive experience tailored to the question asked.

According to TechCrunch, Google plans to launch a “Google Lens” feature in the coming weeks, enabling students to scan problems or topics they are studying to get explanations of concepts, identify potential mistakes, and provide guidance to help them solve them.
