Google continues to promote its upcoming Pixel Watch 5 before its official unveiling and has decided this time to mock the designs of competing smartwatches in a new promotional video.

Google is set to unveil the Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5 during its event scheduled for August 12, and just days before the event, the company posted a short video on its official YouTube channel highlighting the design of the new watch.

In the video, Google clearly mocks the designs of Samsung Galaxy Watch and Apple Watch, stating that some competing watches look strange and far from the traditional shape of a watch.

On the other hand, Google emphasizes that Pixel Watch 5 “has enough respect to look like a real watch,” while continuing to offer the usual functions of smartwatches, such as health, sleep, and fitness tracking.

Through this approach, the company tries to emphasize that users won't have to sacrifice the functionality of a smartwatch for a design resembling traditional watches.

However, Pixel Watch 5 does not offer a battery life comparable to traditional watches; in fact, it outperforms some competing Chinese watches and Samsung and Apple's Ultra versions in this regard. However, Google seems to prefer not to discuss this point in its promotional videos.
