Apple Watch Series 12 returns to an old material after a long absence! Appeared on TechRadar

The latest leaks indicate that Apple may reuse ceramic as the material for the Apple Watch Series 12, according to one leaker on X.

This move could be an interesting change in Apple’s policy. The company will expand the range of materials available for its smart watches and may increase the average selling price, especially since the ceramic version is expected to come at a higher price.

Apple last used ceramic with the Apple Watch Edition Series 5, which it launched in 2019. This option will return after an absence of seven years, which may please fans of this material.

However, the colors that Apple will offer for the ceramic version are not yet clear. It is likely to limit itself to white, as it did with the Apple Watch Edition Series 5, or provide additional color options.

Apple is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 12 during the first half of next month, possibly on September 8th or 9th, within the same event where the company will announce iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Ultra.
