Samsung US announced that it will start pre-installing the Amazon Music app on a number of selected Galaxy smartphones and tablets, in a move that may not please all users, although it comes with an additional feature.

Devices that come with the app pre-installed get a free three-month subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited, which gives users access to over 100 million songs and millions of podcast files, as well as a free monthly audiobook through Audible service.

The monthly subscription cost for Amazon Music Unlimited is around $13, while the usual trial period is limited to just one month, making the new offer more valuable for users who want to try the service.

In the same context, the Amazon Music app has also become available on the Galaxy Store, and users can get a free trial period when downloading it from there, not from Google Play Store.

Despite the benefits offered by the offer, many believe that pre-installing the app may not be the best option, as some users prefer to choose the apps they want to install themselves.

Samsung did not clarify whether this change will be limited to the US market, although its statement indicated that the app will be pre-installed on millions of selected Galaxy devices around the world.
