The phone comes with a foldable design that resembles a book, with an internal screen wider than its length when the device is opened, showing essential elements in the user interface, including lock screen control tools and the “Dock” app bar on the right side.

Users believe this design may make accessing main functions more difficult for people who rely on their left hand to use the phone, according to Daily Mail.

One user wrote on X: “I liked the new iPhone Duo, it looks great and luxurious in many ways, but the phone is not practical for me, and the reason is simple: I use my left hand.”

Another said: “I just realized that iPhone Duo won’t work for me because the controls are designed to be used with the right hand.”

The issue also sparked a discussion on Reddit, where users called on Apple to make it possible to move the app bar to the left side, considering its absence a flaw in the user interface design.

One user said that the company should have made it possible to move the app bar to suit left-handed users, adding that this seems like “a clear oversight” from a company that places great importance on user interface and experience.

Another pointed out that the problem is not just about accessing the other side of the screen, but also includes having many essential functions on the far side for a left-handed person.

Apple has not yet clarified whether users can move the app bar to the left side.

The price of iPhone Duo is $1,999 and it is scheduled for release next month.

 The phone features two screens, an external one measuring 5.4 inches and an internal one measuring 7.6 inches, with a close aspect ratio between them to maintain a consistent viewing experience when switching between the folded and unfolded modes.

The phone can be used in various modes, including keeping it semi-open to watch content without holding it, or folding it partially and using it in a way similar to a book.

iPhone Duo relies on the A20 Pro chip, which allows running multiple tasks and different applications on both sides of the screen.

The screen also supports the use of Apple Pencil, making iPhone Duo the first iPhone phone that allows using a pen on its screen.

On the back side, the phone carries a 48-megapixel camera, similar to the one used in iPhone 18 Pro.
