Motorola posted a teaser site on the Indian e-commerce website Flipkart offering an early look at the Motorola Moto Pad 70 Groove before the tablet’s official launch date of July 31. The tablet is notable primarily because of its massive rear speaker, which reportedly includes a total of nine sub drivers. These include four high-frequency tweeters, three bass woofers, and two passive radiators. The speakers were optimized by audio experts at JBL. According to Motorola, the tablet supports both Hi-Res Audio Wireless and 7.2 surround sound technologies. A foldable ring allows the tablet to be mounted when used as a Bluetooth speaker or for video streaming. Customizable volume buttons on the back adjust the sound.

While Motorola has yet to confirm any specific details about the Moto Pad 70 Groove’s specifications, it is likely to be a rebranded version of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 with Motorola branding and a new color. This mid-range tablet features an IPS display measuring 12.1 inches with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, along with up to 800 nits of brightness.

The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor with four ARM Cortex A78 performance cores and four Cortex A55 efficiency cores. The battery, which has a capacity of 10200 mAh, can be charged via the USB C port at up to 45 watts. Features are completed by a 13-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera, microSD card slot, and support for the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 stylus. However, due to its audio system, the tablet is relatively thick and heavy at 22.7 millimeters and 760 grams.
