China is working on developing an integrated system for monitoring asteroids, according to the Xinhua news agency. The project aims to build a unified system for space and ground observation and early warning, which will be a key pillar in the asteroid defense system.

The China National Space Administration noted that the project is currently in the technical and economic feasibility study phase. It is expected that this system will exercise comprehensive and precise control over near-Earth objects.
