Abu Dhabi, September 1 (WAM) - ADNOC continues its efforts to enable young national competencies to acquire the necessary technical, digital and leadership skills and expertise to play a vital role in shaping the future of the energy sector and supporting sustainable economic growth in the UAE.

The company emphasizes its firm commitment to this approach by providing integrated pathways for the qualification and preparation of national cadres, including specialized educational and training institutions such as ADNOC Technical Academy and ADNOC Commercial and Trading Academy, alongside distinctive programs and initiatives like the “AI Accelerator Program” and the “ADNOC Accelerators - Vision” program.

This system provides specialized training opportunities for young Emirati men and women, contributing to enabling them to build practical expertise covering various stages and areas of the energy sector value chain, in addition to developing skills that enhance their readiness to keep pace with future requirements.

Since its establishment in 1978, ADNOC Technical Academy has graduated more than 6,000 Emirati citizens, while around 1,500 trainees are currently studying at various of its academic locations.

The academy continues to develop its curricula and training programs to keep up with the changing requirements of the energy sector by integrating AI applications and advanced technology solutions into its educational processes and core technical specializations.

In line with its ongoing commitment to developing national female competencies, in September the Academy received the first batch of Emirati female trainees enrolled in the “Diploma of Technicians” program.

The program was highlighted during ADNOC’s celebration of UAE Women's Day, which aims to provide trainees with the technical knowledge, practical skills and operational experience needed to build a promising career in the energy sector.

ADNOC Academy for Trade and Trading contributes to preparing national cadres specialized in trading energy-related commodities, one of the most specialized fields in the sector.

Since 2020, more than 40 young men and women have completed their training programs at the academy, while more than 50 nationals working today within ADNOC’s trading teams graduated.

The company continues to develop the capabilities of national cadres in modern technologies and advanced technology.

In 2025, around 150 engineers will graduate from the “AI Accelerator Program”, which has enabled them to gain specialized expertise in artificial intelligence and digital innovation.

ADNOC places great importance on investing in developing Emirati competencies at an early stage through ADNOC’s Accelerators Program – Vision, implemented in partnership with Khalifa University and United Arab Emirates University, as well as the “ADNOc for Young Coders for the Country” program, which has given more than 450 students from 30 schools the opportunity to learn about programming fields and artificial intelligence technologies.

ADNOC aims to expand the scope of the program to include an additional 400 students across the country.

Investment in Emirati skills begins at an early stage through ADNOC’s RO’YA (Vision) acceleration program, implemented in partnership with Khalifa University and the United Arab Emirates University, as well as the Young Coders program in collaboration with 42 Abu Dhabi.

The Young Coders program has given more than 450 students from 30 schools an opportunity to learn about programming and artificial intelligence, focusing on preparing a promising generation of AI skills capable of innovating and developing solutions supported by these technologies for the energy sector, which will contribute to supporting ADNOC’s growth and competitiveness in the future.
