This topic officially launches its new Swift 16 SF16-71T laptop with the most powerful Core Ultra X9 388H processor and an Arc B390 graphics card globally, appearing on TechRadar.

Acer has quietly expanded its Swift 16 laptop series with the launch of a new, more powerful version. It showcased its latest device, the Swift 16, last January at the CES 2026 event, equipped with Intel's advanced Panther Lake processors. However, the company waited until April before officially launching its flagship Swift 16 SF16-71T in markets.

Even after the launch, Acer limited its 16-inch flagship laptop to a processor from the Core Ultra X7 358H category, which was reviewed and evaluated in May. There are also more affordable versions supported by a lower Core Ultra 7 355 processor without having to sacrifice large RAM capacity of 32GB currently offered at a price close to $1199. Acer is now selling the more powerful version equipped with the Core Ultra X9 388H processor and an advanced Arc B390 graphics card.

According to certified performance tests, the Core Ultra X9 388H processor offers a slight performance improvement of up to 3% compared to the Core Ultra X7 358H model. This difference can widen to around 10% when executing certain complex computing tasks. The Core Ultra X9 388H processor is unlikely to cause a significant burden on the integrated cooling system in the Swift 16, given the low temperatures and the extremely quiet fan noise level recorded by the Core Ultra X7 358H unit under maximum stress conditions.

The new model based on the Core Ultra X9 388H chip inherits the specifications of its less powerful counterpart, featuring excellent 32GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 1TB. The new Acer option comes equipped with the same stunning 2.8K OLED display with a smooth refresh rate up to 120 Hz, which recorded an average brightness level of 400 nits in SDR mode during technical tests. Although the Swift 16 SF16-71T laptop is 16 inches and has a battery capacity of 70 Wh, its weight is extremely light at just 1.5 kg.

And its price is $1,899 for a version with the Core Ultra X9 388H processor in US markets and £1,899 in UK markets. This price represents an increase of $100 compared to the model equipped with the Core Ultra X7 358H processor in American markets. In contrast, the Core Ultra X9 388H model comes at an additional cost and is £400 more expensive in British markets.
