A new leak revealed details about the batteries of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, after an image appeared on Weibo that is said to showcase the batteries of both versions with their actual capacities, indicating that the larger version will get a bigger increase than expected.

According to the leak, the European version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, which comes with a Nano-SIM port in addition to eSIM, will have a battery capacity of 5235 mAh, an increase of 412 mAh or about 8.5% compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The American version, which relies on two eSIMs without a physical SIM card slot, is expected to get a battery with a capacity of 5425 mAh, compared to 5088 mAh in the previous generation, an increase of about 6.6%.

Current leaks indicate the expected battery capacities for the iPhone 18 Pro series as follows:

• iPhone 18 Pro: 4056 mAh capacity for the European version, and 4288 mAh for the American version.
• iPhone 18 Pro Max: 5235 mAh capacity for the European version, and 5425 mAh for the American version.

Although these capacities are still lower than the huge batteries found in some Chinese flagship phones, combining them with the Apple A20 Pro processor expected to be manufactured at a 2nm precision may give iPhone 18 Pro Max significantly longer battery life compared to the current generation.

It is worth noting that the iPhone 17 Pro Max achieved strong results in battery life tests, despite having a smaller capacity than many of its competitors, which reinforces expectations of further improvement with the new generation.
