Google is set to unveil its new Googlebooks devices and operating system on September 15th! This was reported by TechCrunch.

In May, Google first revealed its plan to launch new Googlebooks devices, confirming that they will run on a new Android-based operating system.

Earlier this month, initial glimpses of some of the devices from Google's early partners, such as Lenovo and Asus, emerged. Now, the company has sent official invitations to the media for an event in New York on September 15th.

The event is expected to be significant because it will not only reveal new devices but also introduce the operating system that leaks have referred to as Aluminum OS, although Google has not yet disclosed its official name.

What we know is that it will bring Googlebooks devices closer to Android by relying on the core technology package of the system.

The new operating system will combine elements from Chrome OS and Android, while relying on the original code base of the Android system. This could provide a different experience for laptops compared to current Chromebooks.

Google promises devices with exceptional specifications and various designs in terms of size and shape. However, all models will share a distinctive design element known as Glowbar, which was confirmed by recent visual leaks.

Asus, HP, Lenovo and Dell will be the first companies to launch new Googlebooks devices, indicating that Google is preparing for a large-scale launch from the start.

The event in New York will bring together media from around the world and give journalists the opportunity to get acquainted with the first Googlebooks devices and try them out, as well as conduct performance tests and measure their results through various test programs.
