ASUS launched the ROG Raikiri II wireless controller during Gamescom 2025 with full support for Xbox and Windows PCs, and now ASUS has started to tease another new controller. There is a strong possibility that the expected model, Raikiri II Pro, will be the direct successor of the ROG Raikiri Pro PC controller released in 2023. The official account of the ROG brand on Weibo shared a teaser video for the upcoming controller, which is scheduled to be officially launched this summer. The teaser video tries to maintain secrecy about the overall design of the controller but still reveals some prominent details, including that the controller's handles will come with a tight finish and will be decorated with patterns inspired by the word ROG.

The new controller includes an entirely integrated screen like the Raikiri Pro model. What is striking is that the screen displays the number 8000, clearly indicating that the controller has an ultra-high refresh rate of 8,000Hz.

And if this controller is indeed the Raikiri Pro 2 model and supports a polling rate of up to 8,000 Hz, it will be in direct competition with market-leading controllers such as the GameSir Tarantula 8K PC and the GameSir G7 Pro 8K series, which includes premium versions like Aimlabs Edition and Royal2 Signature Edition.

There are still many unknown details about the new ROG controller, such as whether it will support Xbox platforms like the Raikiri II model. However, we expect it to be released with a TMR joystick, adjustable triggers, and fully customizable back buttons. There is no specific release date for the controller yet, but it's likely that an official announcement won't be far off.
