Asustek announced alongside the ROG Raikiri 2 Pro controller and ROG Godlike 27 Plus gaming monitor, the launch of its new gaming sound system ROG Gjallar Gaming Soundbar. This system is considered an integrated audio system for games because it includes a wide speaker, wireless amplifier, and all-in-one audio control center.

The device features a compact external design and suitable size that allows placing it directly under the display screen. Asustek confirmed that it is equipped with full-range sound channels on both the right and left sides, along with two high-fidelity tweeters and another pair of speakers that direct sound upwards. These can be turned off to provide a 2.1.2 channel immersive and stunning surround sound experience in collaboration with the popular Dolby Atmos technology.

In terms of connectivity and technical system, the device includes a classic AUX audio port and an optical audio port for increased compatibility, as well as a modern USB C port and an advanced HDMI 2.1 eARC port that supports 4K video passing at a refresh rate of 120Hz, in addition to support for Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connection technology for integrating multiple devices. The amplifier also includes two USB A ports on the side to function as an integrated USB hub for easily connecting peripherals.

The all-in-one comprehensive audio control center is connected to the soundbar via a wired connection, allowing users to control volume levels, playback, and switch between audio EQ profiles. The control disk also contains an integrated LCD display to clarify the audio status, with physical buttons below it for switching between different input sources. The center features microphones that support adaptive AEC acoustic echo cancellation technology and are equipped with a dedicated digital signal processor to filter out and isolate teammate voices and surrounding game sounds.

The wireless soundbar measures 6.5 inches, has a power output of 65W and stands at 35cm tall and 30cm long. It relies on 5GHz wireless technology to ensure low latency audio transmission. ASUS stated that it offers rich bass frequencies, powerful subwoofer response, and an immersive cinematic sound experience when watching effects and explosions.

The ROG Gjallar Gaming Soundbar system is fully compatible with PCs, Mac computers, mobile phones, and various home gaming platforms such as PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. ASUS has not yet revealed the official price details or specific availability date for the sound system in global markets.
