Dubai, June 30 (WAM) - Dubai Data and Statistics Foundation under Dubai Digital has announced the launch of an upgraded version of the Dubai Data Guide in a move to enhance data governance and establish it as a strategic asset for decision-making, accelerating digital transformation, and enabling artificial intelligence applications across government entities, in line with the Dubai Data Law and enhancing Dubai Government’s readiness for the future.

The guide provides an integrated framework for managing, governing, sharing, and utilizing data according to global best practices, which enhances data quality, maximizes its value, and improves the efficiency of government services. It contributes to building a more integrated and sustainable digital ecosystem that supports the digital economy and improves the quality of life in Dubai.

Younis Al Nasser, CEO of the Dubai Data and Statistics Foundation, said that the upgraded version of the Dubai Data Guide represents an important strategic milestone in enhancing the readiness of government entities for the future of artificial intelligence. He affirmed that Dubai has moved from the stage of digitizing services to building smart and integrated urban experiences based on accurate, consistent, and structured data that forms the foundation for innovation and decision-making.

He added that data is now a key driver of economic growth and innovation, and that the quality and readiness of data will determine the strength of the emirate’s digital future. He noted that the guide provides an integrated system of standards, frameworks, and tools to help government entities make more accurate decisions, provide more efficient services, and improve the experience of users by relying on reliable data.

The guide includes a comprehensive framework for managing government data, encompassing data quality standards, governance, roles and responsibilities, and compliance requirements. It combines mandatory requirements with practical guidelines to enable government entities to treat data as a strategic asset within a unified, sustainable, and scalable framework across the Dubai Government.
