The sky of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia witnessed on Saturday morning the conjunction of Al-Thuria cluster with the moon, in an astronomical phenomenon called in Arabic folklore "Quran 25". It is one of the time markers that the Arabs relied on in the past to determine the calendar and know the seasons. It indicates the beginning of the second month of summer and the increase in temperature.

Member of the Astronomy Club, Mohammed Enad Al-Hizami, explained that "Quran 25" coincides with the entry of Al-Jozai (Gemini), which is considered by Bedouins as an indicator of Jamarat al-Qayt, the period when summer heat intensifies. Hot winds (sums) blow more frequently during this time, and humidity begins to rise in coastal areas. According to "Wase", marine storms become more active.

He added that this period lasts for about 27 days, and farmers pay special attention to it. They increase the rate of irrigation of crops to face the rising temperatures and maintain the growth of crops.

He pointed out that the conjunction of Al-Thuria cluster with the moon is one of the astronomical phenomena that have been of interest to the Arabs since ancient times. They relied on them to determine the seasons, weather changes, and follow the beginnings of the seasons within a precise calendar system based on the movement of stars and lunar mansions. This phenomenon still attracts the attention of those interested in astronomy and folklore as a natural indicator of the beginning of a new climatic stage.
