Rockstar announced on August 6 a special show for GTA 6, to be broadcast on Netflix on August 27. Although multiple leaks circulated about the duration of the show, an article published by the BBC indicated that the special episode would last 30 minutes, before later removing this information from the article.

Earlier reports had mentioned a different playtime for the show; one of Netflix's support staff stated that the show would last about 20 minutes, while data from another leak in the Netflix app indicated a duration of 30 minutes and 6 seconds. There is also a theory suggesting that the show could be divided into three episodes, but there are no official indications to support this.

The content of the show remains unclear at this time. While players hope to see extended gameplay segments, especially for the character Lucia, Rockstar may simply mix gameplay footage with cinematic scenes and interviews.

After new leaks about the game circulated, speculation emerged about the possibility of delaying the broadcast, but journalist Jason Schreier from Bloomberg confirmed that Rockstar does not plan to change its marketing campaign.

GTA 6 Extended Look will be shown on Netflix on August 27, while non-subscribers can watch it on the Rockstar YouTube channel after six hours.
