Abu Dhabi, August 12 (WAM) - Space42, the leading Emirati company in artificial intelligence-supported space technology with a strong international presence and listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Market under the symbol SPACE42, and Leonardo DRS have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing the sovereign national security capabilities of the United Arab Emirates through a cooperative framework that integrates Leonardo DRS task systems with Space42’s secure satellite communications services.

Under the terms of the MoU, Leonardo DRS will provide its advanced expertise in command and control, communications, computers, cybersecurity, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR), while Space42 will offer AI-supported secure satellite communications services, along with line-of-sight-free communication capabilities.

Through this integration, the two companies will work together to explore joint efforts and integrate advanced task capabilities for the UAE.

He added that by integrating the infrastructure of the sovereign satellite company and AI-enhanced communications capabilities with Leonardo DRS’s advanced mission systems, secure communications are being enhanced to support the establishment of national security in the UAE.
