The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 series is scheduled for release on July 14 in China. The company had previously confirmed some details about the Redmi Note 17 Pro, including its large battery with a capacity of 9,000mAh and support for 67W fast charging. Now, Xiaomi has revealed official information about the standard Redmi Note 17.

It was officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 will come equipped with an OLED panel display with a large size of 7 inches. This screen supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and global brightness levels reaching up to 1,200 nits, in addition to providing Xiaomi’s eye protection technologies. For comparison, the previous model, Redmi Note 15 5G, currently priced at $249.50, comes with a 6.77-inch screen.

Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 will include a large battery with a capacity of up to 8,000mAh and support for wireless fast charging at 45W, in addition to reverse charging at 22.5W. In contrast, the previous model, Redmi Note 15, only had a battery capacity of 5,800mAh.

The phone appears in promotional images with a distinctive Meteor Purple color, featuring an engraved rear design. It will also be available in green. The branding on the rear camera module confirms the presence of a 50MP primary sensor.

Details about the processor and other technical specifications are still not finalized. However, recent Geekbench listings suggest that the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 17 may be powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. There is currently no official information regarding the global launch date for the Redmi Note 17 series.
