New reports have revealed that Beelink has launched its new mini desktop PC, EQi Intel Wildcat Lake, which comes as an affordable option for users who need a computer capable of handling basic tasks and medium workloads. This device is powered by an Intel Core 3 304 processor, the entry-level and primary processor in this new series. It's worth noting that this processor is the same Wildcat Lake chip found in some competing devices to the MacBook Neo budget laptops. Interestingly, Beelink has paired this processor with a mobile-grade storage space. The mini PC comes preloaded with 512GB of UFS 3.1 flash memory. To put things into perspective, UFS 3.1 is significantly faster than traditional eMMC memory but notably slower compared to the NVMe SSDs found in most mini PCs. Its theoretical maximum speed reaches around 2.1 GB/s, making it very close to the PCIe 4.0 x1 standard.

The good news is that users will not be limited by this slow memory permanently as the device has two M.2 slots for additional SSDs, and of course only one slot supports PCIe 4.0 x2 speeds while the other reaches a maximum bandwidth of x1. It’s also worth noting that each slot can accommodate a storage disk up to 4TB in size. The price of Samsung's 990 Pro SSD with a capacity of 2TB is currently around $369.99. Another good feature of the mid-range and high configurations for this mini computer is their support for DDR5 RAM, which allows memory replacement and upgrades when needed. On the other hand, the entry and basic versions come equipped with LPDDR5 RAM that is soldered and fused.

Although the device is compact and small in size, it offers a rich and wide range of connectivity ports. These include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type-C port with a speed of 10Gbps, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, a 2.5G LAN port, a 10G LAN port, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, an HDMI port that supports 4K 60Hz video output, and a 3.5mm audio port. Other notable features of this budget computer include WiFi 6 technology, Bluetooth 5.2, an integrated 85W PSU power supply unit, and a very quiet cooling system. Beelink is currently accepting pre-orders for the device. The version with 16GB of RAM costs around $509, while the 24GB version is available for $659. The 32GB version costs approximately $739. All versions come equipped with a built-in 512GB UFS 3.1 storage space to provide maximum efficiency and meet user needs.
