Lenovo has updated another of its 16-inch gaming laptops. To recall, the company recently updated the Legion Pro 5 16IAX10 model with Intel Core Ultra 7 251HX and also Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors. At the same time, it added a mobile graphics card Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 12GB to the device. The same applies to the version supported by AMD processors, although there are currently no upgrades for the processor.

Now, the Legion 7 16IAX10 can be added to the list of Lenovo’s quietly upgraded Legion laptops with more powerful and efficient hardware. To recall, we considered the Legion 7 16IAX10 a strong competitor to the Razer Blade 16 when reviewed in 2025. At that time, we tested a 16-inch Lenovo computer with a Core Ultra 7 255HX processor and an 115 W TGP GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card, currently offered at $1939.

Users could configure the Legion 7 16IAX10 with a Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an 8GB GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. This configuration has now been replaced by the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, the latest Arrow Lake HX processor that offers 7% higher CPU performance in benchmark tests. Meanwhile, Lenovo has also upgraded the Legion 7 16IAX10 to a GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 12GB of VRAM for an enhanced visual experience.

According to Lenovo's official product specifications website, only specific markets such as Australia, India, Singapore, and the United States will receive the Legion 7 16IAX10 with these processor and graphics upgrades. However, Lenovo’s regional websites indicate that a global launch may be imminent in the company’s operational plans to serve all users.

The Legion 7 16IAX10 can only be found in the US market with the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and a 12GB GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, priced at $3,139.99. This model also features 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD storage, an outstanding OLED display with 1600p resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness level of up to 1100 nits in HDR mode. It costs $553 more than the basic version of the Legion 7 16IAX10 laptop but is only $50 more expensive than choosing the Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with an 8GB GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card.
