On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reported that SpaceX has developed a prototype of a phone designed to reshape how humans interact with artificial intelligence, which the company recently presented to investors.

According to sources who spoke to The Wall Street Journal, the company showed the prototype, which features an elegant design thinner than an iPhone, to some investors and other parties.

Sources reported that the prototype is designed to operate on a proprietary operating system and integrate artificial intelligence technology from SpaceX's xAI platform.

The sources added that the device will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, according to The Wall Street Journal. They stated that SpaceX informed some investors that the project is still in its early stages and that the design is subject to change.

Last October, Musk said: "The idea of making a phone makes me feel desperate. But if we must make a phone, we will."

In February, Musk denied that his company was developing a phone in response to a report by Reuters stating that SpaceX was working on a phone that connects directly to the Starlink satellite network.

According to several investors in Tesla and SpaceX, Musk has long aspired to develop a consumer device that would serve as a platform for the technology of his projects.
