Google’s upcoming fraud detection feature is coming to new Android phones, according to Unlimit Tech.

Google’s fraud detection feature may soon be available on vivo phones, expanding to a third Android manufacturer after being limited to Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S26 series phones so far.

The Scam Detection feature warns users of potential scams during phone calls. A recent analysis of the Phone by Google app revealed that vivo phones may be next in line for the feature.

A teardown of the latest version of the Phone by Google app showed signs that vivo phones support the feature, with Google using the internal codename “Sharpie” to refer to Scam Detection within the app.

It is not yet clear which devices will receive the feature, but it is likely to come with the upcoming vivo X500 series. It remains unknown whether it will be available for the existing X300 series later.

It is also unclear if vivo will integrate Scam Detection into its own dialer app, similar to Samsung, or rely solely on Phone by Google on its phones.

In any case, these signals are informal confirmation that Google does not intend to limit the fraud detection feature on Pixel and Samsung phones forever, and it may soon expand it to more Android devices.
