Ajman, August 20 (WAM) - The Transport Authority in Ajman concluded the "Hackathon for the Future of Transportation 2026" event, which was held in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Office of the UAE AI Program. Three innovative winning projects were crowned out of 50 participants from innovators, students and start-up entrepreneurs.

The project "AI-Powered Transport System" won first place, followed by "Transport Continuity" in second place, and "Smart Decision Support Platform" in third place.

Abdulrahman Saif Al Nahami, Director of Digital Solutions Management at the Ajman Transport Authority, explained that the hackathon aimed over two days to attract exceptional ideas that are feasible, focusing on enhancing customer experience, predicting transport demand, and automating processes to improve the efficiency of the transport system in the emirate.

Latifa Al Hammadi, Head of the Hackathon Projects Jury, confirmed that the event was a competitive platform for enabling young talents and generations to create practical solutions that elevate the transportation sector.

In the same context, Sultan Al Owais, one of the participants and owner of an AI start-up company, pointed out the role of the hackathon in exploring ways to integrate modern technologies to accelerate the management of transport and logistics companies and develop smart systems to serve customers.

The recognition of the winning projects is a reflection of the efforts of the Ajman Transport Authority in supporting innovation and digital transformation, as well as its continuous pursuit of building an intelligent, flexible and sustainable transportation system that meets the aspirations of society.
